The neighborhood Blockbuster will be going out of business soon. The last day to rent movies will be January 7, and they will close the doors for good a few weeks later. The clerks said that the lease was up and that the landlord has other plans for the space; the rumor is that a bank is moving in. That's better than an empty storefront -- Glover Park has two others up the block -- but not as useful to us as a video store, even a Blockbuster.
